Merrifield was nails after the trade last year. 119 wRC+ and .8 WAR in 44 games.

As for the postseason, yeah he was 1 for 5 with a HBP but the whole thing went to hell in a hurry as soon as he left the game.

Bass wasn't all that good while here and he was chased out with pitch forks last month.

Pop definitely has some nice potential long term, but didn't make a huge impact last season and really hasn't this season.

Merrifield last season didn't do much, but this season he definitely has been a really solid contributor.

Bass and Pop solidified are pen in the second half, Merrifield has been great since the 2nd half of last season and was no doubt an impact, my point was what's the point of what you were making by bringing up the Jays deadline, 2 different markets and payroll flexibility?

The Orioles did f*** all this past off-season to help there team and most questioned it, just as it's viable for people to think they won't push chips in now is what Stangstag is getting at. I myself don't see it, I see them very active at this deadline.

My bad.

Admit my mistake.

Gunnar Henderson just wrecked a cameraman with a high throw that hit the poor guy in the face in the camera bay.

15 minute delay, a lot of bloody towels and a medical evacuation team

Yeah saw the highlights. Was carted off the field but he gave thumbs up so glad he was conscious at least. Hope he's alright.

Didn't know about May, yikes...

Dodgers right-hander Dustin May will undergo surgery on his right elbow to repair the flexor tendon later this month, per a team announcement. The surgery will bring an end to May’s 2023 campaign. Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic adds that May will also undergo a Tommy John revision for a Grade 2 UCL sprain, noting that the Dodgers hope May will be able to return midseason in 2024.

May initially went on the injured list back in May with a flexor pronator strain that offered an initial recovery timeline of just four to six weeks. That, of course, didn’t come to pass. LA placed May on the 60-day injured list less than a week later, a move that suggested the injury could be more significant than the club initially believed and pushed the earliest possible date for May’s return until after the All Star break. Now, the question of May’s return to action will be pushed to the 2024 campaign.

Jarren Duran is on absolute fire

He reminds me of a young healthy Jacoby Ellsbury

Stole second, third, and home in sequence. That kid is f***ing electric.

Don’t want to be like Jim and fire your nut early though, like with JRod. We’ll see

I just watched the clip on Sportsnet. It is one of the most exciting baseball things I have ever seen in my life. That kid is other worldly.

How do you keep hitting a guy 2nd in the order when he's this checked out. Dude should be sent home.

14M team option next year that almost certainly won't be picked up. Costing himself tens of millions this year.

To piss you off?

It worked.. I just can't fathom why MLB is not having games on every single Sunday when it is not even football season yet. You are the only show in town, why waste that!!??

A Sunday in the summer you can't watch or go to a ball game with your kids etc????
