BTS Community Moderator Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Padres are going to need Soto to wake the f*** up if they want to win this. He's been pathetic for them in the playoffs.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Soto .349 wOBA for SDP in the season (bad by his standards) .226/.294/.258 in the playoffs. SOTO + BELL for ABRAMS, GORE, HASSELL, VOIT, JAMES WOOD, and JARLIN SUSANA Maybe this has a chance to go down as one of the worst trades in MLB history? Imagine if WSH gets two stars out of it and Soto is a flop.

Imagine if WSH gets two stars out of it and Soto is a flop. Just realized that Bell had -0.5 fWAR for SD in the regular season, and is slashing 130/167/261 in the playoffs. It's like everything Preller touches failed spectacularly.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 I'm really happy the Phillies pen shut down SD last night. If they come back to win that, the massive rage over pulling Wheeler would be unbearable.

Have to think the Padres are about as happy as they can be even if they don't move on the World Series since the beat the big bad Dodgers.
