I'm a Liberal?

He's too dumb to realize we voted for a Conservative Premier in Ontario.

I edited my post. I was a left centre guy forever, I've undecidedly become right center because of the separation in beliefs and Trudeau.

Also Ford's a sellout POS.

So when can I start to panic about the Jays blowing the playoffs?

The unreasonable and mentally weak like myself have been in panic mode since Romano blew the save Sunday.

If the Orioles get within 3.5, which is potentially 14 hours or so away, then I think the reasonable can panic.

There is a historical reason for that, '87. However pretty reasonable that if something happened once, even a long time ago, it is reasonable to be worried it could happen again.

Also not sure how all the playoff odds thingies are calculated, but ESPN has Jays odds way higher then baseball reference. Jays odds on baseball reference have gone from 99 to 95, Orioles from <1 to about 10% in 3 days.

Is it reasonable to worry about a 5% chance of Jays missing playoffs? Is the chance greater than 5% considering bullpen status and potential 'pressing' from players?

Alberta is the US of Canada, not something to be proud id idiot. Ban this clown.

Board could ban you, but you'd come back, lol. What's wrong with Alberta aside from this tool?

I probably need drugs but am not on them right now. As a kid the first baseball games I watched were the end of ALCS in 85, and the last series of the year in 87, mostly just because everyone tuned into those games, so probably have PTSD from that.

As soon as Romano blew the save against Baltimore I had a pretty bad feeling, even though it was statistically super-unlikely (and still is) that Baltimore will catch the Jays.

As an aside Tom Henke blew 3 big saves in the last week of the season against Jays division rival, 85, 87 and 90, 87 and 90 were pretty costly.

Not to diss Henke. I mean Dennis Eckersley had huge blown saves (Gibson, Alomar) that cost his team.

Mariano Rivera probably has the biggest, most meaningful blown save in history 1 strike away from giving the Yankees a 4-peat, and blew it. No talks about it because Rivera was so good otherwise, though I guess had 3 blown saves in the Red Sox 2004 comeback?

Anyway I am way off track, just that I've been in full panic mode since the Romano blown save... we'll see what happens.

What is wrong with Alberta? It's a beautiful province. Every province has crazy extreme right or left wing people, doesn't matter if you're in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec or anywhere else. Majority of Canadians however are pretty much in the centre and slightly lean left or right of centre. That's why you'll never have an NDP or PPC party winning at the Federal level.

Voting for a Conservative here in Canada doesn't mean you're a right wing extremist. Maybe the media and Liberals paint it out that way, but that's not the case at all.

The cost of living there is a big draw to many people, especially young families or couples or anyone in general. The winters are long in Alberta which is one of the negative deterrents, as well their economy heavily relies on oil. Also, many people from Toronto think Alberta is far out of the way in the middle of nowhere. A lot of people think that way who live in their Toronto bubble. Though cities like Calgary and Edmonton are really growing and have a lot to offer for those who want to experience big city life still. Also, you're only an hour from the mountains

Money goes further in Alberta when it comes to buying a property. For 700K, you can buy a very nice house around Calgary. Here 700K gets you a small two bedroom condo that needs renos if lucky.

That’s what’s so f***ed up about Ontario. You vote Conservative provincially and Liberal federally. You guys don’t even know what you believe in.

I'm not defending the choices of Ontarians or saying that this is the case there, but voters who keep an open mind and vote for different parties should be seen as a huge positive.

Idealistic voters who don't consider the unique issues presented during each electoral cycle and at each level are a huge negative in my view. That's what you have in the United States, where people consistently vote against their own best interests based on issues that don't even affect them. It's sad when you can predict a riding before the parties even release their platforms or name candidates.
