DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Vlad leads the AL in double plays
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Vlad has to hustle down the line. That was pathetic.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Thank god Teo caught up to a fastball
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Considering Springer's injury uncertainty and we needed someone to cover OF, and it was a literal last second trade, it leads me to believe they wanted to someone else like Happ from Cubs but couldn't get the deal done (no one could, Cubs probably had a high price). Just because Atkins wants something doesn't mean the market is just going to bend over and give it to him. Ross could have given Nathan Lukes a shot and deservedly so, instead he's been rimming Zimmer's ******* all year. Give me a break.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Vlad leads the AL in double plays His groundball rate is like 89% and he hits the ball hard, not surprising
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 His groundball rate is like 89% and he hits the ball hard, not surprising Vs Tapia weak choppers than he can beat out
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Vlad has to hustle down the line. That was pathetic. There's no excuse for that type of laziness...
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Vs Tapia weak choppers than he can beat out Tapia is also like 80 lbs lighter lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Hanging offspeed is the only pitch we can hit in the air. Good thing Teo hit it up the middle
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 f*** that’s some bad luck for Bo

Give me a break. I do not know why Lukes isn't getting a chance and until I do, I am not going to assume incompetence. He is a 28 yr old in AAA so maybe he'll only/always be an AAA dude. He was also drafted by the Shatkins camp before they came over, so they know his value than any of us ever will. - Damn Suwinski, nice grab
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Bo hitting well finally, hope that continues
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Of course they catch the ball in the gap. Too bad Merrifield didn’t lay out. On the replay i’d say Lourdes should have been there easily but took a terrible route. Merrifield had a lot more ground to cover
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Hanging slider...but caught lol

It's just very puzzling and frustrating.

He is a 28 yr old in AAA so maybe he'll only/always be an AAA dude. Out of spring training I thought for sure we would see him at some point this season. Seems like they are determined not to give him a shot. Many opportunities this season to bring him up and nada. Feel bad for him.

He was drafted in 2015 before Shapiro came over in August/October and Atkins came over in October/December

There's really no debating that fact.

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 Wasn’t LaCava the GM until the 2016 season? Ah nvm, Shapiro stopped being a GM in 2010; in 2015, it was Antonetti. Guess they don't trust Antonetti's drafts lol
