Why isn't conceding a game a thing in baseball? Is it really better to waste relievers and potentially get position players hurt in a blowout than just to offer up a handshake and say see you tomorrow?

 

Is there any additional punishment that baseball would give out for something like that? You may be potentially hurting your ability to win future games by selling out to a game that there's nothing left to play for.

Because all the old timers in baseball are stuck in their ways and completely stubborn to change. Should have had automated strike zones 10 years ago. Look how long its taken to allow players to have fun and pimp home runs. Just a couple year ago or last year dont remember Tatis apologized for hitting a grand slam lol. Your still not allowed to run up the score even though big comeback happen quite often.
