Wonder if they change the wording of the outcome everyone would be less focused on popup slide replays and the like. For example Vlad would get a SB and then an out. Or say a double with a play at 2B gets called a 2B and then an out, so if you come off you are still out but you get credit for being safe to begin with

I agree with Buck, from the beginning I hate the way that rule is being applied. I think there should be some allowance for a natural motion on the pop-up so long as there is no effort made to advance to the next base. Sort of how you're allowed to run past first base and as long as you don't make any motion towards second you just go back and step on the bag.
