BuckHenry Verified Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Jackie Bradley Junior is going to be a big help to the Jays in the stretch run .
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Atkins has 36 million reasons not to send him down. But sending him down helps the team now and let's him figure out whats wrong and fix it in a role that is more than 1 inning every week
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Gotta agree , Biggio took a tough throw from Chapman , and his throw to Vladdy wasn’t great , but receivable if he stretches the right way …. Kikuchi has to go … useless . All 3 guys made a mistake on that play. Lucky they even got the 1 out
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Phelps is money this season. Yeah he’s been good other than that one extra inning game against the Redsox where he came in and walked 3 straight

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 I like all of our pitching staff right now except Kikuchi
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 I like all of our pitching staff right now except Kikuchi After Kikuchi, Berrios is probably the most volatile. Dude is straight up batting practice 50% of the time
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Can they send Kikuchi to the pitching clinic in Dunedin? Is that even an option? It would do him a ton of good to work with the sports-shrinks and pitch mechanic peeps. Just to settle him down and take him out of the spotlight for a while would be a big help. (assumption alert =>) He is probably feeling a lot of shame and pressure right now. Doubt the poor dude can even get a woodie these days.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 I would be happy if Kikuchi didn't pitch for the Jays again this year. He needs to go down and work on his confidence.

I bet he goes there this offseason for a bit/or early spring training. Next year will be his make or break year IMO, if he still sucks next year you release him and kick his ass out the door

Agree, just feels like he’s a lost cause this year. Hopefully he comes back as a serviceable 5th starter next year
