5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Trash offense. Can't do a s*** They need more left handed bats. Easy for these smoke and mirror righties to handle an all righty offense
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 o's feasting on scrub pitcher, while jays getting shut down by scrub pitcher
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Trash offense. Can't do a s*** They're doing plenty of shits.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I have always thought that we have the ability to go cold on offense quite often because we don’t have enough guys who will just take balls (and borderline ones early) consistently. They get too eager to hit against bad pitchers especially. No real evidence for that but it’s noticeable to me.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 s*** Merrifield Nice pickup Ross lol

These smoke and mirror righty pitchers get smashed against left handers, but since the Jays have no left handers, they cruise against them. I'm really shocked that Atkins continues to ignore this.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Is there nobody anywhere? AA? A? Independent baseball? Anybody but this guy. I might even take a Thornton start. We had one, we traded him. Lol.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 s*** Merrifield Nice pickup Ross lol Come on man, that 645 OPS is just what the team needs at the top of the order!
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Well holy f***. Funny s*** right there.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 All things considered, gotta hand it to the O's. Everyone knew they were looking at this as a statement series. Very impressive start.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Unlucky He grounded out right to the 3rd basemen, what's unlucky about it?
el duque Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 All things considered, gotta hand it to the O's. Everyone knew they were looking at this as a statement series. Very impressive start. nothing to be proud there by the O's, Kikuchi is a trash pitcher and should go, let's see the rest of the series
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 All things considered, gotta hand it to the O's. Everyone knew they were looking at this as a statement series. Very impressive start. True. The are taking advantage of a scrub pitcher. That’s how u do it

Aren’t we really good against righties?
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 nothing to be proud there by the O's, Kikuchi is a trash pitcher and should go, let's see the rest of the series well there's something to be said about beating up on the guys you're supposed to beat up on. It's always easier said than done.
el duque Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 well there's something to be said about beating up on the guys you're supposed to beat up on. It's always easier said than done. you are right on that but how long the Jays direction will keep torturing us with this mediocre pitcher
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Aren’t we really good against righties? Yeah, but you look at the splits of these shitballers that always give the Jays problems and they always get crushed by lefties. It's not a hard equation to figure out.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Yeah, but you look at the splits of these shitballers that always give the Jays problems and they always get crushed by lefties. It's not a hard equation to figure out. So, we are good against good righties that don’t get crushed by lefties but bad against bad righties who do get crushed by lefties? How did you even break that down? Like what splits did you look up?
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 So, we are good against good righties that don’t get crushed by lefties but bad against bad righties who do get crushed by lefties? Well the majority of pitchers are right handed, the Jays have a good offense. Doesn't mean there's not going to be a disadvantage against certain pitchers with particularly strong splits.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Typical Thornton garbage. Pitch him until his arm falls off.
