Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Yeah...except this team has been losing 51% of the time since June 13. Yankees have lost 46% of the time over that same time-frame.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Yeah, but they also won at a historic rate to start the season and already built a huge lead in the division. They aren't struggling to hold on to a wild card while losing to every team they are battling. Man - the point was you chose an arbitrary date to suggest the Jays aren't winning enough lately. Deadpool can cherry pick the f*** out of a date to do the same thing.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I'm just saying it's been almost 2 full months of mediocre baseball. It would be nice if they could hit a double digit winning streak like the Mariners and Orioles pulled off. I can't be the only one frustrated with how this season is going based on preseason expectations. Missing the playoffs by 1 freaking game last year was already frustrating enough. Yeah, missing by 1 game was rough, especially since the Jays handled their own business and got f***ed over by a god awful pen implosion by the Nationals. However, look at where they were before they went on that 14 game winning streak late in the season and missing by 1 game doesnt seem so bad. Yes, it would be nice to see a sustained winning streak but hell they're currently 16-7 since the world was made right with numbnuts firing. Expecting better than a .696 winning percentage over the rest of the season is pretty unrealistic. The Yankees are only running at .645 and if you remove their last 2 series they lost, were pretty much exactly at .696. Those kind of runs are fewer and further between than Grant going to a game at Fenway.
