The Royals are playing without four of their top five players this weekend due to Canada’s COVID-19 restrictions, along with multiple other players. Left fielder Edward Olivares had three hits on Thursday, while shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. added two hits. They will be facing a Toronto pitching staff that is No. 20 with an ERA of 4.03. Left-handed pitcher Daniel Lynch is going to start for Kansas City on Saturday afternoon. He spent a few days on the injured list due to a blister on his left index finger, but he returned on Monday to allow three runs across four innings before exiting with another injury to a finger on his left hand. Lynch, who is 3-7 with a 4.92 ERA this season, has been cleared to start on Saturday.

The Blue Jays have been outstanding at the plate this year, ranked second in the majors in batting average (.259). Shortstop Bo Bichette leads the team with 97 hits, including 14 home runs. Left fielder Lourdes Gurriel and first baseman Vlad Guerrero Jr. each have 89 hits—Guerrero has hit a team-high 20 homers. They are facing a Kansas City pitching staff that is No. 27 with an ERA of 4.79. Toronto is currently without multiple starting pitchers due to injuries allowing Max Castillo another opportunity to start. He made a spot start on Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk across 4.1 innings. Castillo has a 2.30 ERA and 0.83 WHIP across 15.2 innings during his rookie season.

I hope literally any streaming site works today... The past two days have been brutal.

Someone let me know if and when SportsnetNOW develops Roku compatibility, please.

Maximus is only 23. If he stays healthy, he can be a nice bottom of the rotation / depth piece. I like his make up and demeanor, Manoah similarities.

I generally use Sportsurge.net and find 'em from there. StreamEast was working, but the Jays feed froze, so I'm dealing with the Royals feed...

I don’t know if they have jays stream but it’s usually really good. I had a roku tv and same problem.

Yeah, I'll check there for a Jays feed, thanks! :)

I have 4 Roku TVs in the house...

I used to buy an mlb tv sub for $10 every year from someone with a free sub from t mobile. But now you need a vpn to make that work and it’s just too much. I just got a non roku tv and got Sportsnet .

I'll happily just steal games until they give me a solution where they'll take my money and I can watch what I want, how I want.

Why is this team just so f***ing bad against lefty starters?

Too many right handed hitters... wait

Is Castillo good?

Good enough for at least the long man in the pen, but basically a fastball/chageup guy and neither is raelly a plus offering. HIs slider is still a big work in progress and definitely needs it if he wants to be a starter.

Fk. Miss a DP by a hair and they score.

Of all the plaguing issues we have, that I didn't expect us to have, not being able to consistently hit LH pitching is the most perplexing.
