Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 I think generally the abyss looks back at you. Yikes....we're screwed.
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Was in Seattle for these 4 games ; over half the stadium are Jays fans from Western Canada …. and they were treated to this s*** show .
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 3-runs: ball going through Vladdy's glove, Mayza's wild pitches, & Moreno missing the catch (or Vladdy not hustling in calling it off) /shrugs

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 They do have an interesting pen and their top five hitters are legit. Plus they lost John Means for the year and are still on our heals.

That is such an easy play for the pitcher to make, more difficult for the catcher
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Mariners made me so much money vs Jays. Lets goooo!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Is Ross Atkins a con man? Dipoto paid the security attendant to snip the laces in Vlad’s glove while he was taking a s***

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Oh wow. An error and then an 0-2 87 MPH fastball down the middle...kind of like quit pitching soft tossing gimmicks late in games
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 3-runs: ball going through Vladdy's glove, Mayza's wild pitches, & Moreno missing the catch (or Vladdy not hustling in calling it off) /shrugs You mean Bo. Guy is always serious. Infield pop up is the SS ball always
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Perhaps this is the low point of the season. When looking into the abyss, it is then that the Jays find themselves. .....or it's just not our year. Would hope so and they turn it around in a big way...but with the a phillies and KC next week, not holding out hope until its clear it has turned
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 You mean Bo. Guy is always serious. Infield pop up is the SS ball always Could've been Bo, but the ball was closer to Moreno and near the 1B line.
polar bear Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Just 'cause he is sub-par at defense doesn't change his attitude - he works hard, every day, at trying to improve that Lol! Some of you guys are easily pleased.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Lol! Some of you guys are easily pleased. Ya I am pleased that a guy is working hard to become better and not taking s*** for granted. What does this even mean? I shouldn't be pleased because he didn't come out of the draft as a platinum-glove SS?
polar bear Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Also, I feel like we’ve outhit them every game lol. Just like the Leafs outshooting everyone, yet can’t get by the first round playoffs. Means nothing bud.

5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Yep. Lot of posters s***ing on him and his approach; and I understand. But he has excelled at every level he's been in since little league with that approach. He isn't going to change it based on a rough stretch. He's an iconoclast when it comes to hitting. It's just easier to hate on a player when they're over the top flashy. What with the streaked blonde long hair, the big flashy earings ETC haha
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 We are so f***ing snakebit right now. No, they just suck... 2 games ahead of Orioles LOL
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 10, 2022 Author Posted July 10, 2022 Bad play and bad luck Very hard to watch lately
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 How many games back at the deadline would be enough for us to sell? Teo, Jansen and Lourdes are obvious candidates. You'd think 16.5 games back would be enough, but with all the fools gold wildcard spots, people actually think this team would stand a chance against all the big boys
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 How many games back at the deadline would be enough for us to sell? Teo, Jansen and Lourdes are obvious candidates. I'll let you in on a secret....they arent trading Gurriel or Teo
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Anyone fired yet? It's crazy how much the Canadian sports media covers for this team. I NEVER hear criticism of Montoyo or Atkins... Imagine the New York media if the Yankees were 16.5 back in the division and fighting neck and neck with the Orioles? Didn't people expect this to be a WS contender? 3 months later and the narratives completely changed and no one's being held accountable.

It's funny how everyone thought they are winning the divisions but they are barely hanging out of the 3rd WC (or I think Seattle that stop already). Can't wait for another close door meeting. Maybe they will go 7 straight losses.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 This abysmal stretch and getting swept in Seatle has to be the nail in coffin foe somebody. Waiting till the ASB at this point seems pointless. Send the message now. You might not be even over .500 come the break.
Benito Verified Member Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 This season it's NY and Houston, and everyone else. Forget trying to catch NY, and just focus on the WC. Boston and TB are only 2 and 1 game ahead. Not a popular sentiment right now, but I don't want the team to concede the season just because Baltimore is better than expected. I doubt Boston and TB are conceding anything. Even Seattle kept fighting to get in the playoff picture. 75 games to go and people talk like 2 games back is insurmountable.

The American League gave up on catching NY a month ago.
