Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 I don’t see how it gets better next year. This is our window right now. Lots of underperforming this season. Unless you believe that Teo, Vladdy, Bo, Gurriel, Chapman, Berrios, etc are not as good as they've shown in the past and this is their new norm.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 If this is a window it looks pretty foggy outside. It would hopefully improve in the off-season with trades and free agent additions. The time you can truly improve or change your team. Very difficult to do it right now. We have the kind of hitters that I really think if we get in, you never know what might happen.

They are just performing I guess. I do think it’s just a random under performance honestly.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Dude, Kikuchi isn't even THAT bad, lol. lmao yeah maybe it's recency bias, but changes gotta be made when you can't even go 3 innings against the A's offense
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 We have the kind of hitters that I really think if we get in, you never know what might happen. This team has 2 reliable starters right now and one of them is a question mark (Gausman). The bullpen is a complete dumpster fire from top to bottom. The offense is very hot and cold group collectively. I don’t picture this anything can happen scenario. I see getting butt f***ed by the Yankees if they even get past the wild card cluster f*** that they get created.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Why run there… I don’t get it. Kirk is our best hitter. So dumb.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 What the f*** man in a 2-1 count with the best hitter on the team up... Not the time to try swiping a bag. This team's so damn frustrating right now

Dude, the dodgers have won one title in the 5 years they were the best team in baseball and that was in a covid year. Anything can happen.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Imagine getting thrown out at Second Base with your best hitter at the plate ahead in the count. Just an awful time to run
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Why run there… I don’t get it. Kirk is our best hitter. So dumb. Because Kirk is our best hitter, he was trying to get into scoring position for him.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 What is this team even doing? Everything from top to bottom has gone down the toilet.

Just an awful time to run I don't know what it is this year, but Bo Bichette seems to be making a lot of those kinds of mistake. I really haven't enjoyed watching him play this year.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Because Kirk is our best hitter, he was trying to get into scoring position for him. I feel like teams don’t usually run in front of really good hitters with two outs but it’s an interesting strategy.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Hm, do I sleep or watch the last 3 innings of this
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Dude, the dodgers have won one title in the 5 years they were the best team in baseball and that was in a covid year. Anything can happen. I respect your optimism I really do. But I truly hope they don’t trade prospect capital to try to go all in with this team. That’s all I’m saying.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 What is this team even doing? Everything from top to bottom has gone down the toilet. No kidding. The Athletics should be the gimme games where they go in, kick the crap out of em, rest the bullpen and stack up the W's.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Holy *Tiny Violin* Batman!!! It’s just not a very good team lol.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 There's the meatball he leaves up typically once or twice per appearance.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Hm, do I sleep or watch the last 3 innings of this I'm calling it a night lol. Take it easy guys!
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 That's another 5 run game for these collection of Oakland sluggers.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Probably went a little long with Thornton. That meatball was massacred.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 That's another 5 run game for these collection of Oakland sluggers. Its 5 runs on 2 f***ing hits lol. This s*** is all on the walks/HBPs by Kikuchi. Thornton giving up a solo HR shouldn't break a game.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Kikuchi has been a bad signing so far.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Might not be a bad idea to just sell the farm for pitching this year. Depending on how the next few weeks goes.
Buster Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Shouldn't putting together a pitching staff be sort of a core competency for a management team?
