Not sure why Thornton was taken out of the game. He threw 2.1 innings but only threw 23 pitches and was doing pretty well. I know it's an off day tomorrow and using as many relievers as possible is Charlie's drug of choice, but would have thought they'd try to get as many innings as possible out of Thornton with Kikuchi giving no length.

I was neutral with Grichuk but he's a lot better than Tapia as part of the top four outfielders. How much money did we really save? $3M this year? I don't know about next year's numbers in savings but I'm sure Ross will throw it Tapia's way.
