"Now back when I played what you'd do is you'd grab a newspaper on the morning of gameday and read the weather section. But I never really trusted that as a player. So what'd I'd do is lick my finger and point it in the air. And then you can really get a feel for where the wind is blowing. If it's blowing out I might try to go for a flyball. If it's blowing in then I'd go for a line drive. But another way to do is to just grab a handful of grass and throw it in the air. That would give me a lot of information as a hitter before I stepped into the box. A lot of hitters I knew did this."

I legit read this in his voice... Bwahahahaha

What’s the record for double plays in a game? We are quite a pace.

Record by both teams combined is 10 in one game happened in 1990, Red Sox vs Twins. Record by one team is 7 by San Franscisco in 1969 vs Houston

Kirk should lead off . Who cares if he can't run. The guy is aroind 400obp

I think batting 6th is the perfect spot to set the table for Chappy, etc... and driving in runs when he's got men on to boot. Springer's a great leadoff bat anyhow.

So Brad Keller is kind of annoyingly effective with his groundball rate.

Will be interesting to see if the Jays can get the ball in the air off him. Ostensibly the Jays have some minor groundball and double-play issues. Well, we have one big hitter who has those issues.

Hahahahahahaha

Kirk is too good for 6th. And springer profiles better for 2 3 with his power . I get it , he's done it forever but doesn't he have the record or on pace for the record of most lead off humerus. That tells you right there he should be 234 guy.

Yeah, we could debate the top 6 in this lineup until we're blue in the face, haha. I'm more referring to Tango's THE BOOK.

when will they give up on Zimmer?

Lourdes should've been in, but Chuckles bro. He's a good late inning PR or a late Defensive replacement.

Someone on this board posted a while back that he must have photos of somebody. Either that or we find out he's actually Atkins brother in-law.

I don’t think manoah has his best stuff breaking ball wise but he is such a gamer.

Agreed, no swing and miss tonight, he battles like an Ace.
