He has a tough time working them up and in. Any time he uses the 2SM FB it moves across the plate into the sweet spot of their bat.

Yes but can you make it good contact with a pitch in that spot? Maybe instead, especially with a hitter as talented as Vladdy, he meets the ball late and fouls it off, until he gets something he can damage.
