So Vlad needs to DH after an offday for some reason, and that means no Kirk in the lineup when he’s one of the best fastball hitters on the team.

 

Biggio in the lineup even though he struggles against high velocity….

Chuckles has serious f***ing problems and Atkins is ok with it apparently. Atkins is obviously part of the problem.

 

Yeah we can’t excuse Atkins anymore. Either this s*** is coming from him, or he’s letting an incompetent manager run the team. Neither is good.

Instead of dreading seeing Tapia's name in the lineup, I'm just going to root for him to take sole possession of worst player in baseball. Semien somehow has the worst wRC+ in the league so far, but Tapia can catch him. I have faith.

And he's hitting 6th. In front of the guy who has the highest wRC+ over the past calendar year. Montoyo has to be trolling us, the only reason possible this could happen.

Saddest part of your post tbh. I kinda feel bad for Semien and for the Rangers. Gotta be the worst start to a long-term contract i’ve seen in a while.

Except for the fact Danny Jansen has hit right handed pitchers better than he's hit lefties for his career.

What are the odds he managed to slip by without getting caught last year on some horse steroids? He signed a 1 year deal and knew if he had one big season he'd be hauling in hundreds of millions for it. Unless he just forgot how to hit in the offseason something stinks here, I thought it was bad when Brady Anderson went from 50 HRs to 18 the next year this is on a whole new level. ZERO??? I think most pitchers in the league would have ONE by now if they got 4 at bats every game

Gotta split up the good hitters so we don't get a bunch of hits in a row. Might be a small factor with how bad we've been with RISP. When Teo and Jansen were out we were going good hitter, bad hitter, good hitter, bad hitter, good hitter, bad hitter a bunch, and the times the good hitters got on or it scoring position they were immediately followed by a trash hitter, and 2 out of the next 3 were bad because gotta split up the lefties. I'd prefer the lefties just get their own devoted 3 up, 3 down inning that we could sacrifice instead please.

Wow I almost called it in the GDT after the game last night. Had Zimmer starting instead of Tapia. I guess that's a tiny upgrade on my expectations?

Left handed bats have to start producing or they need to be gone. They only managed to put one ball in play yesterday and it was a ground out to the pitcher. 0-7, 6 Ks, 1 BB is just bad.

 

I’m done with Tapia but I think Biggio deserves 3-4 weeks at least. He should be playing the OF over Tapia. Benintendi would be a nice add
