Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 How do you even know its a mild sprain? Could be worse than that You ever sprain your ankle lol. If you can walk, jog, or run...its mild. If you can't put weight on it...its severe

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Sorry for providing info lol
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 I mean, I really hope that’s true but we’ll see. How many times has this front office lied about George Springer in the past year?

Ehjays Verified Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 I hope Rosenthal is full of s*** cause that deal wouldn't interest me at all. Well if he isnt full of s*** then thats the first thing I can say I am really impressed with Gardner for doing. We dodged a bullet there.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Matt Chapman is hitting lead off tonight
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Did someone grab the lineup card from Chuckles and play with it? Can't believe it. ....Also, welcome back Jano!!!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Flip Espy and Chappy and you would have made my day.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Chapman or Tapia leading off. I mean I guess Chapman has a shot at being good
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 I hope Rosenthal is full of s*** cause that deal wouldn't interest me at all. It's true. They ended up with Tapia because of this

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Espinal lead off probably makes the most sense right now. He see’s the most pitches on the team. Realistically not a better option unless they put Vlad there.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Not a fan of the new lineup but am finally happy that they're trying to shake things up. Hopefully batting ahead of Vladdy can get Chapman going. This lineup needs a few guys to get hot asap.

With this latest slide, they’re more open to suggestion

Hopefully batting ahead of Vladdy can get Chapman going. This lineup needs a few guys to get hot asap. Chapman is hitting .286 when leading off an inning; they might just be trying to unlock that with Vladdy hitting behind him. Espinal would've been good too. That said, considering Teo is struggling, not sure why he is batting 3rd. Maybe give him protection since Bo is actually hitting better? shrugs. We just have so many holes with players underperforming rather than holes because they are holes (Tapia etc). The question is how long are they going to underperform for with the pull-centric approach on a dead-ball. Most other teams that are playoff/WS contenders have figured it out and yet we are still can't barrel up the ball most of the time.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Protection has been mentioned. That’s Olerud’s bat signal
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Protection has been mentioned. That’s Olerud’s bat signal Its a weird concept but only makes sense if 1. the batter protecting can actually hit/legit threat and 2. the batter being protected has good plate discipline. In this case, I am not really sure either is in play lol; Bo is hitting though, so who knows. As seen in other lineups though (Trout and Judge), they are doing demonic things because of two players behind them that are threats. So hopefully (aside from getting more ABs), this also gives Vladdy more pitches to hit. He has to be willing to take a walk though and not trying to carry the team by himself every AB.

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 All things considered, I wonder if its beneficial for Jays/Springer long term to move him off CF to LF/RF or DH, even. Protect his injury-prone body as much as possible so his bat stays in the lineup.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Jesus, NOBODY mentioned that Thornton was sent down? I figured that would have been celebrated. Anyway, Thornton and Heineman to AAA, Jansen and Ryu activated.

harvey16 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Wtf is this lineup? Chapman leading off, he literally has one of the worst OBPs on the team.
