I didn’t agree Tatis did anything wrong switching 3-0 that time. Taking an extra base becomes more murky. Say if it’s 8 runs, how many times has a team came back 8 runs down in the last inning… .1% chance at that point? Pretty weak to say anything could happen

Cortez Jr was cruising through 4 no hit innings again with a 4/1 K/BB, but a BB and Dinger by Canadian Josh Naylor put a stop to that in the 5th.

This, for him, did not go well.

Nasty Nestor has induced 3 swinging strikes from Steve Kwan, and struck him out twice.

That found money for the yanks with his magic act can f*** right off anytime now. Also cool to see Miggy get 3000 but watching him and Pujols leg out the last few seasons where they are a shadow of what I remember (in contrast with Cruz and say Ortiz) has actually been sad and not much fun.

It really is a magic act, lol. The swing and miss he gets with terrible swings is hilarious, hides the ball well, the deception is obvious. As for the latter, I'm glad Miggy got there, but watching the tail end of their careers has been vomit inducing.

Is there some arbitrary point where it’s no longer ok though? Sorry to say, it is part of the sport. Or any sport. You can not like that, especially people that never played sports growing up, but that’s how it’s played all the way through. When you get up by a very comfortable amount, you dial it back. In baseball, not steal bases. In basketball use up the clock. In football run the clock out.

So when a team does something opposite of that, yeah it’s going to ruffle some feathers. Not just from the stale old men, but the opposing players as well.

There's no clock in baseball, so it's not remotely the same. You run the clock out by controlling the ball and making sure the other team doesn't have any opportunities to score, you cannot do that in baseball. You can't score goals/touchdowns when your opponent controls the ball/puck. You simply cannot stop a team from having a half inning, where it is theoretically possible for them to score any number of runs.

Then bunt the runner to 3rd.

Edit:. Cubs do have two SBs today.

Yeah, both were in the 2nd inning, the 1st one at 2-0, the second one at 6-0.

Earning the stereotype.

Make that 21-0. I hope a Cub steals a base.

You mean the Bears beat the Steelers?

that was a terrible attempt by Dalbec too on that Story error. The throw was not off by more than a few feet. Dalbec's feet were tangled or something.
