I get that, but what's the cut off for using Romano? 4 runs? 5 runs? At some point they need to trust an arm to hold a 4+ run lead, especially against a struggling offense, rather than keep throwing Romano out there when the leverage isn't the highest.

I would have been calling for his head before Pearson threw a pitch. You don’t get cute because it’s not a save situation. Both teams ahead of you were going to lose. Can’t waste nights like that in September.
