Maybe next year the Jays will take take of their own s*** so we don't have to rely on other f***ing teams to clinch us a playoff spot.

 

Of course the Yankees, Red Sox and Rays all find a way to brutally and painfully push our s*** in at virtually the same f***ing moment time.

 

Jays did take care of their own s***. They just went 22 and 9 from September onwards including some ridiculous come from behind wins. If that’s not handling your s***, what is?

I hope the Yankees win the WC game and sweep the Rays. That's the best punishment I can think of for Cash's management in the 9th there.

Yup, to me that's the biggest reason the Jays missed the playoffs. We can blame Charlie, Semien's error, or any other mistake made in a game, but the team played 36 home games all season. Clearly they do really well at RC, and with a crowd that actually supports them. Even with Montoyo managing this team makes the playoffs if they play in RC a month or two earlier than they did, even if capacity was 5k. Just frustrating.

Why would the garbage bullpen have performed better at the cheering RC? They f***ing sucked this year. There was nothing stopping the team from salvaging two more games down in Florida or Buffalo. Tampa won 100 times and their stadium is regularly empty.

I think the atrocious bullpen and the rocky SP rotation for the first months was really more to blame. If the pen was even partially less s***** and exhausted Charlie could have just auto-piloted. Sometimes I don't understand Chuck's moon logic but there were times this season where his quality options were so limited that picking an arm at random and saying a prayer was about as likely to work as anything else. Charlie goofed a few of games away and maybe doesn't deserve his job but if the team wasn't so light on quality innings in April/May/June then the margin for error wouldn't have been so thin.
