18 wins down.

5-1

Come on people.

LOL.

Their pythagorean wins is 99-63, instead now we’re praying they “only” underperform by 6 wins and end with 93-69.

They should be sitting right behind Tampa and run away with 1st WC. Brutal.

I read a study about pythagorean underperformers through history. Most had lower than average aged offences. I assume the theory is that younger players pile on the runs when up by a lot.

If you believe in the Nightengale curse, which is statistically proven, then this might be an underrated reasoning behind the Jays demise. They have gone 8-8 since that Tweet.

We s*** the bed vs the Yankees and the Twins and some how still 1 GB of a playoff spot. We need to sweep the Orioles, there's still a chance.

They basically saved our season by taking 2 of 3 from the Sox. Now they need to roll over for us.

I can't believe we still have a chance even if it's a small one. Having Seattle/Boston lose 1 game is very possible but I hope we can at least do our part by sweeping the Orioles.

It's splitting with the Twins that hurt. If they win 3/4 like they should have, then the Jays are tied for WC2 right now and in a much better spot. Losing 2/3 to a hot Yankees team is not the end of the world, but they needed to take advantage of the weak schedule and didn't do it (at least with the Twins). I'm not expecting a sweep of the O's, more likely 2/3, which means we have to hope the Red Sox and M's both lose 2/3. I don't think that's happening.

Yeah im just envisioning the Jays winning the first game, dropping the second game, and then winning a quick 3rd game but then we sit and scoreboard watch hoping Seattle loses their last game and they end up winning it and we don't make the spot.

This weekend is gonna take 5 years off my life

They both hurt. Bats chokes against Yankees pitching in two of the games and the arms didn't execute. Both losses vs. the Yanks were very annoying.

Bats have just been non existent, we need that eruption from the last Orioles series.

There are a lot of things going wrong at the moment. Offense continues to not click the last two weeks. Ray taking a step back this month hurts. Kirks bat going silent hurts. Gurriel getting cleated by Grichuk hurts. Vladdy slumping hurts. Teo going 0-fer vs the Yanks hurts. At least Pearson looks studly.

2 more wins!!!

Path to the playoffs:

- Win remaining 2 games

- Boston loses 1 OR Yankees get swept

Leads to a tie and game 163.
