Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 why do we continue to roster Thornton? Because in the 6 years that Shatkins have been here, this is what we've developed on the pitching front. Think about how the pen was before Cimber and Richards got here, disgusting...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 that's ********....valera had that..would have ben an out if not for the base. There's zero chance Valera is throwing anybody out if he fielded that ball. He would have prevented a run though.

Well considering that most relievers are failed starters, we have bombed so much in that regard. That is why Thornton is a keeper for us.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Good job by Vlad to get back into the AB and get on base

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Jays never adjust to look breaking balls against Ohtani. He can't throw fastballs tonight
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Jesus man, shad up! What? Someone's asking why Thorton is still on the roster. I'm giving the response why douchebag. We don't have anyone better to bring up...
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 What? Someone's asking why Thorton is still on the roster. I'm giving the response why douchebag. He is on the roster because we have so many injuries no one else can fill the long reliever spot at the moment
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 What? Someone's asking why Thorton is still on the roster. I'm giving the response why douchebag. LOL c
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Snead will be telling his grandkids about the time he K'd Ohtani
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Snead looks like a better option than Thorton. f*** matchups when you're dealing with Thorton.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 He is on the roster because we have so many injuries no one else can fill the long reliever spot at the moment Almost every team has injuries. We're in a better spot there now than we were before on that front. Tampa has had much worse luck than us on that front, no excuses from them...

STFU. When Thorton is being used in any non blowout situation then yes, the sky is falling in my world. Dude is flat out trash.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Was that not interference on Vladdy? Think we got away with one there.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Ohtani should be out. Time to get the bats going
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 When Thorton is being used in any non blowout situation then yes, the sky is falling in my world. Dude is flat out trash. It's Thornton, and I think he sucks. Yes the sky falls in your world a lot.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 Was that not interference on Vladdy? Think we got away with one there. It would be out of the base path to make contact with him and no contact. It was correct
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 It's Thornton, and I think he sucks. Yes the sky falls in your world a lot. Can you blame me when Montoyo makes retarded decisions almost every game? I'm not alone in second guessing him. Dudes logic is puzzling and since Shatkins have kept him around, I just assume they are happy with him so my hate reaches them by extension at times.
