If you let Castro or Cole or probably anyone else start the 7th we probably win

At least have Castro hot in the pen FFS. When Chatwood loses first guy. Mind boggling. Off day tomorrow

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reliever with 5 walks and no strikeouts in a high leverage spot. This might be the first time it’s ever happened outside of empty pens in the 15th inning or something.

Perhaps the saddest part of all this is Montoyo doesn't think he could have done anything different. Dunning Kruger effect. Edited by Omar

Douche is so quick to pull starters but doesn't feel it's important to do that for relievers. Such pathetic all around.

Someone needs to ask montoyo the hard questions post game. I'd love to hear him giggle his way thru that

In the manager for dummies book it says to pull a guy before this happens. Unfortunately, it looks like Charlie lost his copy. If we miss the playoffs by a game or two....ouch.

Are we sure Charlie can even read english?

He needs "managing for complete and utter f***ing morons", but it's been out of print since Cito retired.

This loss is extremely disrespectful to all those other guys in the bullpen. How the hell can you let a relief pitcher walk 4 in a row

And in his second inning of work!!! Lmao why was Chatwood even given the 7th with nobody ready to hop in there.

Chatwood must have given Charlie a beating behind closed doors when he was angry Montoyo yanked him.

Chuckles too scared to go to the mound for the baseball!

Its absolutely insane. There’s 7 other guys there sitting and watching this trash.

According to the other thread, managerial decisions have little to no impact on wins and losses.

They don't. Chatwood walked several guys. That's why the Jays lost. If Chatwood is used in the first game instead of Romano and he does the same, they lose that one.

If they bring in Castro one batter earlier, they still probably lose. Not very many managers would bring in Castro two batters earlier as you have to give Chatwood a chance to work it out.

Why the f*** do you have to “let him work it out”? He already lost us a game last week by walking guys.

It almost felt like he tried to lose on purpose. Someone check his browser history for gambling sites.

It does feel like that sometimes. Everyone could see Chatwood looked bad in the previous inning.

Putting Chatwood back out for the 7th after struggling in the 6th was dumb. Not taking him out after the 2nd straight walk was again stupid but not having someone up sooner warming up is just incompetent

There really isn’t a reason not to use Romano twice. I believe Liam Hendriks has pitched twice in a day on two occasions this year.
