Yes it is lol. Plus he played hurt last year. He hit much better towards the end of last season and in the playoffs. Hes not this bad.

I would be tempted to try him at third for a few games and put Cavan in left when everyone is healthy.

 

The only part I love about him in the OF is his cannon of an arm. That throw he made last year is imprinted in my mind.

 

Switching major positions like that mid-season seems like it could be trouble. Maybe it's something they look at in the offseason for Gurriel if he continues to read the balls.

I hate that he's batting leadoff and how Montoyo has yet to make any change. I'm far from a Biggio fan but why not throw him at leadoff and Semien at cleanup to see if it helps both until our guys get back

How he was a gold glove finalist last year has to be the biggest joke. Majority of his dives are because he takes horrible routes to the ball. To his credit, he's been able to make the plays for the most part but I have very little confidence in him out there.

 

Pretty sure he was in contention because of the Outfield assists. Not sure how much they utilize analytics in gold glove voting. I’m assuming they don’t at all.

Seems like that's what's gonna happen. Montoyo might be too scared to upset Semien because majority would have moved him already. Especially considering he's never been a leadoff guy in his career
