Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 What a disgusting display at the plate. Hopefully this is the low point of the season. With the Springer news, this has to be rock bottom. Lineup has to be reshuffled at the very least.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Time for a self-ban. Do the right thing dude As soon as he posted that I started to get worried Jays cant hit a pitcher who had a 5.35 ERA last year, and has a lifetime 4.61 ERA They also struck out 12 times today
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 What a crap series. The lineup needs to be shuffled before next game. With the Springer news, this has to be rock bottom. Lineup has to be reshuffled at the very least. There are three batters on the Jays with wRC+ above 100 right now. You guy want the lineup to be Bo, Vladdy, Grich then a bunch of guys who haven't been able to hit their way out of a wet paper bag so far this season? These are good hitters (for the most part) and it's been a small sample size, AND they took 2 of 3 from the Yankees to start the year. It's not like Football where they only play 6 games all season so losing 3 is crippling.
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I knew Springer would be injured most of the year
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Hazel Mae going for the Donald Trump look I see. Her spray tan makes her look like a pumpkin.

I've wanted Vlad batting 3rd from the start with Biggio moved down where he will be eventually anyways. Until Springer gets back, I'd try the following: Semien Bo Vlad Teo Gurriel Biggio Grichuk Tellez/Panik Jansen/Kirk
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Moving Vlad up is probably a smart idea at this point, regardless of the small sample size. Other than that, nearly everyone is slumping at the same time. That’s a recipe for disaster.

Not so bad considering we’re missing our best player and most of the lineup hasn’t been hitting at all. They’ll pull it together.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 (edited) Also keep in mind this is still a very young team. Tellez (who looks about 36 is only 26). Biggio 25 Vladdie 22 Bo 23 Gurriel 27 Teo 28 Etc...etc Young teams are usually inconsistent. I'm sure the bats will get going soon. No worries Edited April 7, 2021 by Ex Player

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 Ryu vs. Gibson All signs point to this game being easy to win. You lost yesterday, jackass, this loss is on you and you should feel bad.
