Bo should be batting 2nd and Vlad should be 3rd with the way he's swinging the bat. I'm sure it'll work out the way it's supposed to after a month or so. Assuming Semien was promised to bat near the top of the order to start the year.

That 3rd pitch was in the same place as the second pitch that was called a strike... This ump (like all umps) sucks.

I like Teo at the 4 hole but am cool with him being 5th at worst. I'd still go with the following if given the choice:

I get your point but one is proven and one is not. Spring Training means a little different to each of these guys.

I honestly think this new ball is going to be murder on batters this year, based on hits like that. A lot of stuff that looks like it would have gone out in previous years, just hasn't so far this spring (granted, limited times I've seen more than static on field cams, so hard to say for sure...)

The shift takes away a double play. It totally goes against your baseball instincts, which is why Bo ran to 3rd being the only person on the left side
