I'll take the field cam. I just wish I could overlay it with a radio feed of some sort so I can actually hear whats going on in the background while I work lol

Agreed. Shouldn't take much for them to do that but at least this is progress.

George Springer scratched from #BlueJays' lineup due to left abdominal tightness per team. He completed a full workout today per club and is being removed as a precaution

More injury updates via #BlueJays:

• Nate Pearson to throw long toss today & Thurs (120 feet). Could throw side as soon as the weekend

• Julian Merryweather won't pitch in games this week due to lower back tightness. Considered day to day

• Bryan Baker seeing doctor today

It's March 9 ... if Springer is feeling tightness, clearly better to rest.

As for the pitchers, hard to gauge severity from afar, but the same logic applies. Best case: full health & no issues. Next best: be cautious now, knowing that a long season awaits.

So I'm going to guess that Pearson might be held out until the date we can get another year of service time for him. It does make some sense for him to show he can stay healthy first I guess. Just makes our already s*** rotation even shittier.

Pearson already has 169 days of service time so that doesn't make sense anymore.

I am pleading stupid on this matter. How many games would Pearson need to stay in AAA for this to matter?

Nice inning for Matz. 2 quick outs, single allowed to Bohm, and then battled with Odubel Herrera getting him to ground out. 20 pitches, but he should be hitting 50-60 pitches this outing I think to get him stretched out?

Sitting 95 mph with his sinker, and his breaking stuff is looking really good. Only Spring Training, but he is definitely looking good.

View is better than I thought it would be.

Yaa... just get an intern to do some play by play commentating and we're golden. I think it's such a wasted opportunity for sponsorship to not be doing this already. Never miss any moment to market your team.

Another good inning for Matz. No K's that time, but he's generating some ugly swings and weak contact today.

Field cam stream is actually pretty decent. Matz is showcasing a plus change up and what looks like half decent velocity. If he can command consistently, we got what looks like to be a decent SP.

Throwing strikes has never been the problem with him either. He can command fairly well.

The issue with him has always been mental and getting in his own head when he allows baserunners and/or homers. He just needs to stay composed when that happens. I'm hoping Pete Walker can instil some confidence in him to do that.

Good ABs this inning (outside of Grichuk), even Teo's AB was good, stayed off some touch pitches and torched that foul when they put one in the zone for him.

Not sure what happened here, Young singles, Vladdie scores, but Jansen is still thrown out at 2nd (even though the run still counts). Maybe he overran the base??

Keegan Matheson

@KeeganMatheson

Chavez Young gets credit with the infield single and RBI.

It would have been a clean single (maybe 2 RBI), but bounced off the umpire and stayed on the infield. Throw was bobbled at first, then Young tagged out as he considered rounding.

It was a whole thing. Anyways.

That looked like a good play by Gurriel Jr. on that groundout to first. He was on his ass in foul territory and made the flip? Hard to really tell.

Gurriel made a real nice play 1B, which made me realize that he was actually playing 1B.
