Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 You only watch the Blue Jays? There have been games on starting at 1PM through to 10PM all week. Put on your Big Boy pants and watch the Phillies/Pirates. Spring training is usually painful to watch but I'm excited to see the Jays in action. There is 0 excitement to see majority of other teams half ass it unless it's our guys lol.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 so how bad is Pearson's groin injury? Day to day
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Day to day This does not sound like day to day... "Our goal and hope is that you're seeing him again here in spring training pretty quickly," Atkins added. "But we will be cautious because we can and we'll make sure that that pain is completely gone before he's back on the mound. Whether that's a week or a couple of weeks or longer is too hard to say at this point."
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 This does not sound like day to day... I'm hoping it's rest for 2 weeks and resume baseball activities and by the time he ramps up maybe he only misses one start. The worst thing you could do is push it and re-aggravate it and we lose him till June. Regardless, we could use Odorizzi!

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Is there any chance we see Manoah this year if he's performing well?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Is there any chance we see Manoah this year if he's performing well? Possibly as a reliever down the stretch.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 According to MLB Gameday Chatwood has thrown 14 pitches and hasn't used a FB. Is that normal for him or maybe he is just getting a feel for his secondary pitches?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Roark with 2 shutout innings. He should love the deadened ball. We got ourselves our number 2 starter baby lol.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Bo singles and scores Springer from 2nd.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Bo singles and scores Springer from 2nd. Why isn’t grichuk getting any at bats. Is he hurt

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Another note is Vladito started at the hot corner today.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Another note is Vladito started at the hot corner today. Wonder if he got any balls hit to him. He's always had a great arm and with his his improved speed/agility, he's only got his glove to worry about now lol.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Oh. His glove. Is that all? "Lol" was used to signify the same thing. I was trying to be positive about him improving his mobility and making it one less concern about his defense. Still has a very important aspect remaining Lol.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Nice to see the big Diesel get off to a solid start. We're going to need some good innings from him this year.

And he needs to deal with lots of ground balls whether he's going to play first or third...
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 And he needs to deal with lots of ground balls whether he's going to play first or third... Ya but at 1st, we need to worry about whether he knows when to go for balls and when to cover his bag. Oh and catching pop ups should also be added to that list. Things I never thought a major leaguer would have to prove lol.
