TFC has to be a good sign for the Jays. When is phase 3 reopening in Toronto? I'm trying to book a trip for August, but my little guy loves animals and I don't want to book if the aquarium and zoo aren't open.

Zoo is already open but you have to buy tickets in advance. Going to take my spawn next week.

Well it's either going to be the homestand on the 30'th or next month on the 20th. Still plenty of time, Connor's dumb.

Well I’m rooting for 20th then. Hopefully Deadpool isn’t right and they just play with no fans though

I mean, having games in Toronto on July 30th doesn't necessarily require fans in attendance yet... They can work out those details over the following days/weeks. The key is "can baseball teams come in and play".

I believe the exemption request was the 30th with 15,000, Aug 20th near full capacity(likely what they're bartering over)... they have all the background stuff ready to go as planned. Vending might be sparse initially I would think, it really looks like they'll get an answer soon.

Well, I hope you're all wrong and I'm right, baseball in the 6 on the 30th. You can drive an extra hour to the Dome.

Not in Ontario, straight from the Premiere's mouth for what that's worth. The only province doing that I believe is Quebec.

The request is all well and good, but if they can't get ticket takers/concessions/etc staff hired in time, they may still have some games w/o fans, just logistically.

I'd rather they play in Buffalo then with zero fans. I mean can they get old timers and maybe some help from who-ever is available for the soccer games and do a no frills with 6000 fans, lower deck only?

The Buffalo games were put together pretty quick and were completely no frills, no hot dog race, no between inning entertainment, almost all the vendors and ticket keepers were over 50, it seemed.

No world's fastest grounds crew, yeah. Some of them weren't fast. lol.

Weeks ago on Tim and Sid, Shapiro said all that stuff is in place, food delivery will be a problem initially for their vendors, IDK. I understand what you're saying, though. And that's fine.

It's pure speculation on my part, but I can't imagine a bunch of minimum wage popcorn vendors are turning down other work on the promise that they'll have a job at the Skydome "eventually". The jobs will get filled, obviously, but I'm not sure enough of them will be to provide full support for games in < 2 weeks.

Great news it seems, I hate buffalo. Someone mentioned possibly buffalo as permanent home before, Buffalo will never get a team

Today. Go To African Lion Safari... love that place.

Sweet! We were wondering about that place. Probably do a day trip to the falls and hit the Lion Safari too. I have a brother in Etobicoke, not far from the hotel I'm looking at. I've been to Toronto quite a few times, but it's been over a decade since my last visit. My brother always complains no one comes out to visit him. An August trip could be topped off with a Blue Jays game if they just let them play!

Sounds like fun, enjoy!

Is street meat still a thing? I can't wait to grab a hot Italian and then go pay exorbitant amounts for beer and bake in the sun watching a game.

Wow great news, so glad the Jays are coming home!

In other news as we still search for competitive bullpen arms Joel Payamps has been DFA.

Yeah I don't get that. I'm sure he will get claimed.
