Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Holy f***, Pearson on the 7 day IL due to an apparent groin injury. WTF with this glass kid. IT's bad
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Spent too much time on his grip in 2020, I guess. Finally, someone cracks me up concerning Reese.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Been thinking for ages people were giving up on Reese too quick, there is potential there. Already better hitter then Pitcher Janssen lol. Post was bait. Reese blows
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Post was bait. Reese blows Blows is a relative term with Jansen as the incumbent
RustyTrombone Verified Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 should trade Reese to a dumb NL team like the Rockies. They might think hes a .300 25 hr hitter at Coors.

Laika Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Blows is a relative term with Jansen as the incumbent yeah they both blow. it's just shocking that Jansen is probably the better defender and Reese might actually, somehow, be a slightly better hitter. the exact opposite of how they profiled
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 As Jays fans, are we still bemoaning the loss and emergence of Anthony Desclafini and Joe Musgrove?
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 As Jays fans, are we still bemoaning the loss and emergence of Anthony Desclafini and Joe Musgrove? Not really. Mostly we are just happy that the incompetent and inexperienced GM who set assets like them on fire is gone.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Author Posted June 23, 2021 Springer is back fingers crossed. Starters and pen performing better. Good Stirling and Good Chatwood lately huge plus. They need to keep addressing their holes. Confident they will. Things are looking up men. Funny thing about Chatwood is if he were on another team, he's the exact type of guy Jays fans would want the FO to trade for. Hopefully he's figured out whatever the hell was plaguing him and can be a reliable arm down there the rest of the way.

With all the movement on his pitches if he can stay in the zone he is a solid bullpen guy.
Bluebombers Verified Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Romano looked great on 2 days rest, high velocity strikes, want you want from the pen

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 If he can stay in the zone, he's a top 10 reliever in baseball. And yeah he was masterful yesterday. If Grichuk could lay off swinging at balls out of the strikezone, he’s a top 10 outfielder in baseball
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 If he can stay in the zone, he's a top 10 reliever in baseball. And yeah he was masterful yesterday. Romano has been worth .8 WAR....how does that stack up against all MLB relievers. Amazingly Chapman is only .9 and Hendricks 1.1

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Melancon 1.2 and Barnes 1.1 fWAR has them at .3 and 1.5

Virgil_Hiltz Verified Member Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 Apparently Pearson was also injured going for the fourth opinion.
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 Can they do groin transplants? If they do, sign me up! Could do with a new groin myself.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 That is really bizarre....4th opinion?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 That is really bizarre....4th opinion? Especially for a groin injury. All you can do is rest it then rehab it. It's not like it's his back or his elbow. Wtf?
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 That is really bizarre....4th opinion? Maybe they mean 4th opinion this entire season.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 Post was bait. Reese blows It was Masterful Baiting...
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2021 Author Posted June 24, 2021 That is really bizarre....4th opinion? Does Pearson have recurring groin injuries? If so, 4th opinion can mean overall since he first started dealing with issues in that area. Which would make lots of sense. They could be looking into investigating why he keeps hurting it. That kind of due diligence is important.
