LOL, sample size...maybe watch other sports.

Pretty much every baseball commentator, fan, executive, manager, and even player, has made observations about a players stats over a specific period of time, especially after a change of scenery. I guess they should all switch sports. Or perhaps every knows it's SSS and they are just making an observation. Don't be a f*** head.

Best plate discipline since Bonds? Anyone better I'm not remembering? I've always wished Jays would somehow acquire him.

I think it has to be. Soto the only other guy that really comes to mind.

Same

But he's actually said he doesn't want to play for Toronto and he could veto a trade now

Nick Johnson, but lack of longevity means we can't consider him as good as the others.

What Votto is doing this year is so impressive. He has changed his approach at the plate significantly at 37 years old.

From 2010-2018 Votto only hit 7 IF flies.

The Jays have more than that in daily BP.

Ha this always reminds me of Canucks fans wanting to get Burnaby Joe back in the day. It was never going to happen.

Tyler Glasnow getting Tommy John. He’ll be out until 2023 probably.

Huge blow to the Rays.

Damn. They'll just call up some scrub from AA and he'll pitch like Glasnow anyways, but it sucks for him.

Against the Jays at least

Jacob deGrom has "worsening forearm inflammation"

Won't throw for the next two weeks

It feels like pretty extreme negligence on the part of the Mets FO that he was even pitching up to the AS break. So far this season he's missed time with a side injury, elbow injury, back injury, and now forearm. His body has been indicating all season that something isn't right, and they just kept running him back out.

This is very random but I noticed Travis Snider is still trucking through the minors for the last 6 seasons. He's been garbage this year so I'm going to presume this will be his final season in American baseball. Looking back what an atrocious career he had overall.

Atrocious career? Let's not get melodramatic. He was drafted 14th overall and managed to play in 8 MLB seasons, providing 3.3 career WAR. Good player? Hardly, but there are guys drafted every single year in the first round that won't even make as much as a significant appearance in the majors, let alone stick around for 8 seasons.

People laughed when I pumped Detmers tires months before the draft.

Angels got a stud

Why would people laugh at that? Or your prospect knowledge, oopsie, lol.

This was inevitable. Don't get why he waited so long.

People were too caught up on the fact he threw 88-92 mph in college and were comparing him to Deck McGuire, “command guy with no stuff”. Velo uptick is very common nowadays, Angels certainly found a way to increase it. He already had plus command and a wipeout curveball before the velo uptick, being a lefty helps too. 167 K /33 BB in 2019 for Louisville. 16.17 K/9 in double-A and 3.00 BB/9, 3.33 FIP.

Angels down the A's. Let's goooooo. Gain a full game in the 2nd wild card today.

Just 1 back in the loss column. I feel with the pitching additions, Jays have as good a shot as any of the other 3 teams for the 2nd wildcard. Going to be a fun ride, methinks.

Nice to see the A's lose. Assuming we want the Rays to lose?

No, I think at this point we have to want Rays to win. Those two teams are essentially tied and the Red Sox are more likely to like lose six in a row or something and fall back quickly

Plus, I am physically incapable of cheering for the Red Sox.

Anyone who does isn't a true Blue Jays fan.
