Gleyber Torres has a .310 slugging percentage.

 

It's remarkable how bad the Yankees offence has become seemingly overnight. LeMahieu, Urshela and Hicks have all turned back into pumpkins, youngsters Torres and Frazier have dramatically underperformed compared to expectations, and father time has finally caught up to Brett Gardner. You know you are in trouble offensively when you bring in washed up shitbags like Rougned Odor to play basically every day.

The 2021 Manfred baseball wrecked their offense and the sticky-stuff crackdown ruined their pitching.

It's nice to see the Yankees luck seems to have finally run out. For far too long they've been sprinking magic pixie dust onto hitters and turning them into great performers. They did this with LeMahieu, Hicks, Urshela and Voit so it's refreshing to see these guys struggling this season.

Martinez was removed from Sunday's start at Colorado with a bruised right thumb, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

 

Analysis

The right-hander suffered the injury during his lone plate appearance and was removed with one out in the fourth inning. Martinez gave up a solo homer and a walk with two strikeouts prior to leaving the contest, and he should be considered day-to-day.

They probably have a "if this contract starts to look bad, we can just walk away from it and somehow this is allowed because we're the Yankees and can do whatever the f*** we want" clause in his contract.

There might be a loop hole on cheating. This could get real ugly.

Yup im 100% expecting it. They did it with the Arod contract and with Elsbury. Definitely gonna be some fishy s*** with Cole if he remains bad.

Since when does a positive PED test void an entire contract? Never, so I don’t see why it would be any different with pitching. Yankees better eat that entire contract

Just hopefully not for the rest of this year and not as good as before ..

He's probably just going to slip back from a 6-7 WAR pitcher to like a 5 WAR pitcher. I mean his numbers are still very good right now and he is on pace for 5+.

Im of the opinion Oak Col. gets too much flak. Yes the view sucks since they put the new seats in but the stadium itself isn't much different from Rogers Centre or Dodger Stadium (yeah Dodger Stadium is just as much of a concrete jungle as the other 2)
