saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 So why did we pull Walker after 3 exactly?? They wanted to give the orioles a chance.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Yankees are losing 3-2. So we can pull to within 1 game of them

SydneyJay Verified Member Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 Villar leading off. I... I just can't even process that. He’s the only player ‘positional’ I haven’t taken to. I understand they were resting Biggio, but still... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SydneyJay Verified Member Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 stay hot vladdy Coming good at the right time. Hitting almost .500 over past 20-odd at bats. Keep em coming, Vladdy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He's a perfectly adequate fielder (though, not as good as he once was), but there's no excuse to have someone having that poor of a hitting season getting the most at bats in a game.

He's really not lol. Jonathan Villar has been a terrible fielder his entire career, no idea where "as good as he once was" is coming from.

Jonathan Villar has been a terrible fielder his entire career, no idea where "as good as he once was" is coming from. He's been about 0 UZR and UZR/150 this season (below at 2B, above at SS). He's slightly below at 2B for his career, and worse at SS (though, actually better over the past few seasons). "perfectly adequate" I think is a fair description for someone who is slightly below average. He's been shite at 3B, but y'know. I did have some memory of him being pretty good before, but looking at the numbers, he's actually better more recently...
SydneyJay Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Just caught the replay. Previously said I hadn’t taken to Villar, but his aggression on base was excellent. Pinch runner choice number one in a big situation?

Pinch runner choice number one in a big situation? Just having him on the team to pinch run if needed is a bonus. He's got legit speed.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
