  1. Are drafted players typically in their late teens? And does the draft cover certain leagues or all ‘minor’ leagues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Game 1 (7:00am) and Game 2 (6:00am) for me. I have the luxury of working from home, so a couple of tense, extended breakfast dates coming up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bichette had a 5-5, Kirk a 4-4 and now Lourdes a 4-4. Love it when a batter has a game like this. Bit of luck at first base here. Capitalise on it, JD.
  4. That’s so cool that they signed a bunch of the cardboard cutouts! Any of you guys get a cutout at the ground? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks so much for this. That’s actually answers a few questions for me. Appreciated! (Super glad we have a lot of these young guys for a few years. Pumped up to see what might happen through ‘21-‘24.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gah! Stop the flow, boys. That sunlight looks like it’s tricky to deal with. Need a big inning or two of our own now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How long is LGJ signed for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Incredible! Keep it going, Jays! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Go Vladdy! Bottle these past ten days up and put it in your back pocket for next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This is so helpful! Thanks so much. I’ve seen ‘WAR’ a few times and not known what it meant. Now I can see why Biggio gets so much love for his walks. He’s leading our boys by a long way in that department. And they’re saying Kirk is a good at bat in that regard too (in the minors). Given that Grichuk is one of our higher-paid positional players, I can understand now why he might cop some flack. I wonder if his value would have gone up or down based on this year’s form? I must say though, I’ve been super impressed by his fielding and some of those diving catches. The walk off homer he hit during that tense patch of close victories totally won me over. But heck, all of the players have won me over! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I thought Shaw’s recent homer had a similar smoothness. Hopefully we can get them all swinging in a few days’ time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. He has haters!? But why? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Apparently they’re selling quite well! But I think I’ll save my pennies for a second Jays jersey. I imagine it’s easy to build up quite a collection of favourite players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Laika. Yeah, I think they only play 20-odd games or something. Not much considering how long the MLB goes for. Apparently the Blue Sox catcher was a fringe MLB player before coming over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just caught the replay. Previously said I hadn’t taken to Villar, but his aggression on base was excellent. Pinch runner choice number one in a big situation?
  16. It’s called making connections. Showing I can empathise with this Tampa Bay thing. But whatever, dude. Keep your tin foil hat on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So I had to look up who he is. Then was wowed by his home run stats. He’s 48 now but can hopefully still swing a bat. It’ll be good to see a legend of baseball in action Down Under. I went to my first Sydney Blue Sox game in January, and in a crowd of only 500 (we are a cricket-obsessed nation), I spotted about five or six Blue Jays jerseys so that was pretty cool. Someone mentioned there might be an affiliation between the teams but I have no idea if that is true. For those interested in ‘six’ distances in cricket, an enormous hit would be around 330 feet. So these 450+ feet monsters in baseball are unreal. At what age do baseball players typically retire? Will Manny be able to offer anything to the Blue Sox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Coming good at the right time. Hitting almost .500 over past 20-odd at bats. Keep em coming, Vladdy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. He’s the only player ‘positional’ I haven’t taken to. I understand they were resting Biggio, but still... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Oh man. That’s a nasty record. It’s amazing how down teams just have the wood over others. In the rugby league, my team (Eels) are 0-6 in finals against the Melbourne Storm. And it’s looking like we face them in round one of the finals next week. Good to know I now have two teams to hate in the MLB. Yankees and Rays. Hopefully we can take our best to Tropicana if we end up there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I keep hearing Dan and Buck talk about Jays fans not wanting to play the Rays. Is this because of a long history of losing to the Rays? Or more because of the current Rays line up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Super explanation. Really appreciate you taking the time. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. This is so, so helpful. Really appreciate the explanation. I might just invest in a signed Vladdy ball now. #eBay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for that. One thing I’m trying I get my head around is the whole trading thing. With our young team, is it likely that we will hold onto the core for as long as we can? (Bichette, Vladdy, Biggio, Lourdes etc) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks a bunch. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
