Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 It says Chase Anderson is starting. Also, I'm not really understanding why Guerrero has carte blanche to dine on dicks without being dropped in the order while Gurriel hits 7th.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Almost looks good but Grichuk and Pineapple should be switched
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Yeah I’m really baffled why Gurriel (who has been the hottest hitter this month) is 7th. Did Shaw’s contract state he always has to bat higher than Gurriel? Need dat veteran presents!

C'mon man, how many times do we need to explain this 'lengthening the lineup' concept to you

Dokken Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Also known as "stranding runners on base" well then, tell wonder boy Ross your theory, maybe he can change his 'approach' j/k
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Bucknor can f*** right off
Dokken Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Pro-Yankee ump?? typical for Jays at Yankee Stadium. Just what they need when trying to avoid the sweep. F'in ********!!

Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Well.....well....no surprise here, Bucknor grew up and still resides in New York. What kind of ******** is that??!!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._B._Bucknor
Dokken Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Starting pitching is atrocious technically, he is an 'opener'
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 The Yankees just can’t be stopped by sny of our pitchers right now. And Merryweather is probably one of the best we’ve got
204BJs Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Bullpen is up. It's the first inning. Great sign for tonight
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 tipping his pitches or what, stanton knew that slider was coming
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 tipping his pitches or what, stanton knew that slider was coming You'd think with no fans they'd hear you banging on a garbage can.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 and our hottest hitter will finally get an at bat in the 3rd inning....nice.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Yeah it’s interesting they were whining about the Jays possibly stealing signs in Buffalo yet they’re probably going to put up 40+ runs this series. Yeah...their pitcher couldn't see the signs from the mound, but our guy on second was stealing signs.....what a bunch of babies.

And Merryweather is probably one of the best we’ve got I'm pretty sure Ryu qualifies as being better than Merryweather. Merryweather throws hard, but you might be a bit premature in calling him a star.

Also, I'm not really understanding why Guerrero has carte blanche to dine on dicks without being dropped in the order while Gurriel hits 7th. Grichuk has been awful lately too. He may have some back issues as someone suggested. Gurriel has an OPS of 1.014 over his last 28 days. It's inexcusable to have him hitting 7th.
doorknob Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maybe I'm missing something, but why does Buck frequently say that a certain batter does well against the Jays as a team? i.e. "Gardner has had success hitting against the Blue Jays throughout his career"? Surely the pitching rotation this year isn't the same as it was two years ago, or four years ago, or six years ago. What makes a statement like Buck's remotely noteworthy? Or is it simply intended to be interesting trivia?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 How can Stripling be a bullpen guy when we have trash bags like Anderson and Roark starting? We traded a good prospect to get him, use him in a better role.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maybe Chase can pitch 6 at least
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Lol Bucknor is such a bad umpire. That shouldn’t have been a strike to DJ
Dokken Verified Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 How can Stripling be a bullpen guy when we have trash bags like Anderson and Roark starting? We traded a good prospect to get him, use him in a better role. He will start one game of a double-header in Philly tomorrow
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maybe Chase can pitch 6 at least Lol doubt he even makes it to the 6th
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 f*** you, whoever decided to bat gurriel 7th.
