Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 To be Fair to Bau i feel like he was an O.K fielder when he was younger but as time went on it went down f***ing hill He always took horrid routes in the OF. Teo's routes are (usually) better, but he dogs it, he's way faster than he shows out there.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Is teoscar our new Bautista? Seems like he dwindles away his early years, makes a small correction now he is becoming a star. Bautista's eye allowed him to reach an offensive ceiling that Teoscar will never touch. Other than that, we might be seeing the start of a similar story although Teoscar is even a couple years younger than Bautista was when he became good. Honestly, JD Martinez might be a better ultimate ceiling comp for Teoscar's offensive profile than Bautista. Of course, JDM was another Astros reject... hmmmmmm!!!!

Awesome how we got Teo for a couple of months of Liriano.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 You guys have it all wrong. Teoscar is obviously the next Sammy Sosa, the 60 homer power is going to force them to walk him 100 times a year in 2022. Nelson Cruz would be another good comparison, except that Cruz only has 40 homer power. Speaking of Nelson Cruz, Nelson Cruz is older than Jose Bautista. I always thought Jose Bautista wouldn't age until his early 40s and still be out there purring up .280 .380 .550 seasons, and battle it out with Cruz. It's been 5 enrire years since Jose Bautista was Jose Baustista. Nelson Cruz is the same as ever.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Cruz is probably still roided out. Hey if it means our core can last until their 40s roid away!

I thought that Jose would age well but it is odd to see some power hitters go will into their late thirties and some drop off a cliff. The only thing i can come up with is that Jose relies a lot on bat speed and Cruz is just pure strength. Jose had a lot of movement with the big leg kick and if you slow down a bit your f***ed, I don't know. Could be he aged worse than Cruz.

It's still incredible that Sosa had a 93 wRC+ the year before he hit 66 HRs on route to a 159 wRC+ season.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 What does an old guy have to lose by taking PEDs? The alternative is to age like a normal human and be out of baseball anyways. max silver Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 Found the dude with tits and excruciating boners... If it's a choice between being impotent and having excruciating boners then sign me up for the latter. And what man hasn't secretly wondered what it would be like to have tits?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2020 Posted September 4, 2020 You don't need anabolic steroids to play baseball lol. Simple stimulants probably help a ton. it was a joke.
