glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Can't f*** up on the bases if you hit it out. Nice Gurriel.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Attaboy Gurriel! That's a great way to make up for your earlier mistake. He's been excellent since he started heating up offensively.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 He pulled his hands in beautifully on that HR
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 He was a plus-plus baserunner last year, usually a good one over his career. He's been a negative runner this year though, and his sprint speed is down, maybe he's making the decisions he used to when he was faster but doesn't have that quickness anymore and it's costing him. He is a bad fielder though, what we're seeing from his on defense was probably to be expected. That makes sense to me, although that last play at third had nothing to do with him being slower, just a dumb decision. I'm willing to chalk some of it up to new team jitters.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I think Shaw needs to play less.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Man Shaw has been so bad offensively the entire month of August
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Play Panik over Villar. I've seen enough. Okay it’s not THAT bad.. not yet.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 He pulled his hands in beautifully on that HR Gurriel is a good hitter...It was just a matter of time. He's just lacking a few homers and those can come in bunches. Gurriel has good power.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Dont f*** with the pineapple
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I think we may have to come to accept that Jansen can't hit big league pitching.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Man Giles isn't pitching again until Saturday. They are taking things slow with him. I hope he's back for the Yankee series.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I think we may have to come to accept that Jansen can't hit big league pitching. Nah I’m not there yet
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Man Giles isn't pitching again until Saturday. They are taking things slow with him. I hope he's back for the Yankee series. Any updates with Bichette?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 The Detroit f***ing Tigers are up 3-0 in the 1st. Need to win.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Any updates with Bichette? I feel like they're being really cautious with him too. Given what he's doing already, he should be targeting the Yankees series too. That probably won't happen though.
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 What would a Jt Realmuto contract look like 4 years $75?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 This Alfaro AB is guaranteeing that Ryu doesn't pitch in the 7th, and at this rate he might not come out for the 6th either.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 This Alfaro AB is guaranteeing that Ryu doesn't pitch in the 7th, and at this rate he might not come out for the 6th either. and then he swings at something in the dirt, that's super annoying
Corporal Valdal Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Jonah Birenbaum @birenball Danny Jansen is now 162 games into his MLB career, and has a .207/.294/.360 line (76 OPS+) to show for it. Take out his 31-game cameo in 2018 and that plummets to .200/.283/.346 (68 OPS+). He was touted as a bat-first catcher. It'd be real nice if he, y'know, started hitting.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 He swung like a foot over that Ryu curve
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Ryu needs 2 quick outs after that Alfaro AB.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 how did we let two infielders go that are better than the infielder we got for the top SP rental at the deadline?
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 how did we let two infielders go that are better than the infielder we got for the top SP rental at the deadline? What?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 3rd time through the order... lets see if Ryu can finish the inning unscathed
Ray Verified Member Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 What? Have you really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
