gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I can't believe the level of stupidity. That play throwing to third is what we taught little leaguers to do first and third.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Bench Villar and Gurriel for the next few games?
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Holy f*** I'm loving what Dante did with Grichuk and Teo. Grichuk blows
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I'm blaming villars baserunning on our team. Its clearly a team issue for the constant stupidity.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 just becoming a lackadaisical country club.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Holy s***, on the replay that looked even f***ing worse, he just wasn't prepared at all for that.
LGBJ29 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Charlie just sits there too. Doesn’t say a word.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Grichuk blows 133 wRC+ this year. Okay buddy.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 If Montoya is managing this team next year, Shatkins loses all their credibility.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Just got back from a walk to the park. I tune into the Marlins broadcast and they say 4 Jays outs already due to base running errors???
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Villar is maybe the dumbest player i’ve seen in a long time
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Play Panik over Villar. I've seen enough.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Anyone watch a lot of Baltimore games last year, was he always this boneheaded he had a great statistical season .
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Play Panik over Villar. I've seen enough Come on man. He was sleeping on that play. I'm sure he'll learn from it
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 133 wRC+ this year. Okay buddy. Small sample size.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Dan: "Should Teoscar try to steal 2nd?" Buck: "With the way the Jays have run tonight, I'd let Rowdy hit". Both laugh 2 pitches later.......... Should have kept Teo at first to keep the hole open on the right side for Tellez.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Come on man. He was sleeping on that play. I'm sure he'll learn from it If he was going to, it should have been 20 years ago.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Anyone watch a lot of Baltimore games last year, was he always this boneheaded he had a great statistical season . He was a plus-plus baserunner last year, usually a good one over his career. He's been a negative runner this year though, and his sprint speed is down, maybe he's making the decisions he used to when he was faster but doesn't have that quickness anymore and it's costing him. He is a bad fielder though, what we're seeing from his on defense was probably to be expected.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Can Montoya just have a team huddle and lay into his guys after these stupid mistakes to let them know it won't be tolerated? Or maybe just start pulling guys from games if you want to take a different approach. To allow it without any consequences is a joke
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 The defense has cost Ryu 10 to 15 pitches.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Play Panik over Villar. I've seen enough. Nah, let's not go to that extreme.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 If he was going to, it should have been 20 years ago He's not the only around the league who's currently sucking at baserunning. Its happening everywhere. Buck was right that its lack of practice thats causing a lot of it
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Holy f***, Ryu had to watch that last out drop into Gurriel's glove before walking off the field.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Holy f***, Ryu had to watch that last out drop into Gurriel's glove before walking off the field. Lol poor guy
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 5 hits and he's thrown 49 pitches..lol.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 At a boy Gurriel....he's hot....can we hit him 3rd next game.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 That's how you avoid dumb baserunning! I hope he didn't miss any bases while rounding them.
