Nerds are not always right..this is basically an appeal to authority. Data is just that , data, to be analysed and used as a guide, it is not 100% absolute...there are times you use common sense, logic, what you see in game...

So the nerds say don't let chase anderson pitch the order the third time throw, but let Font who batters were hitting .370 against take that ball against the top of the order? Even if I would agree with taking Anderson out, Font wasn't the right guy to take the ball. He had 2 line drives to the warning track that were caught. We were really lucky to only give up 1.

Seriously, what is Vogelbach doing on this team? If you think he has upside, cool, but if you also want to make the playoffs in a good spot, then he's not someone you hoard on your roster.

This shouldn't even be a debate. Taking Anderson out for anything short of a lights out reliever was the wrong move there. Font is far from that.

 

If people are analyzing the data in support of bringing in Font, they should be doing something else lol.

Probably can at least give the starter a chance to start the 6th (he did it with the same guy last time out on a much weaker outing against a better lineup). Seems Charlie is lost most of the time. He is only capable of being a AAA manager

Yeah, it's visually jarring. I mean, it got him to the majors so it's obviously working to a point, but man, it just looks uncomfortable.
