Agree, however the regular rule if it stops before 5 the game starts over. This year it continues from its last point.

 

If the losing team has completed 5 offensive innings, then the game is official, period. Why would the rule change in a year where scheduling is a challenge?

 

If the losing team hasn't completed 5 offensive innings, then the game will resume from where it stopped, this year only. Normally in this situation, the game is to be made up at a later date and the stats are wiped out.
