glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Letting Hatch finish this was too creative for Montoyo. Get Dolis the save, dammit.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I know it's still a save opportunity or whatever, but with a relatively comfortable lead against an awful team I would have liked seeing Merryweather make his debut here, and save Dolis for a high leverage situation tomorrow if we believe he's a high leverage guy. Also would have been fine with Hatch finishing the game since he was cruising.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 He just broke an unwritten rule! My feelings are hurt.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 leave it to Dolis to make this exciting
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I don't get why Dolis is even given a defined role as a late inning guy. He sucks.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I really like using our 7th best reliever to close out games.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I don't get why Dolis is even given a defined role as a late inning guy. He sucks. Dolis isn't bad, but no reason to bring him in when Hatch was cruising and you want him stretched out to some degree anyway. Now if Dolis is off, the game is on the line. Just Buntoyo being the idiot that he always is.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Every game feels so difficult, even with a 5 run lead late

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Randal "f***in" Grichuk!!! How Sweep it is!!!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 WAY too "interesting" for my tastes in the 9th, but a sweep is a sweep!
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Nicely done Dolis. One game under .500 now
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Doleese with dat closer experience gets the save.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Alright got the ball game and now need to close out the basketball game.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 The Blue Jays are 0.5 GB of the 8th seed, just behind the Orioles. They play the O’s 7 more times this season.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Dolis has some filthy stuff. Not the greatest command though

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 The Blue Jays are 0.5 GB of the 8th seed, just behind the Orioles. They play the O’s 7 more times this season. After this weekend, the Jays are done with the Rays (thank god), and from this coming Tuesday onwards, 48% of their remaining games will be against O's, Red Sox, and Marlins. Of course, another 30% will be against the Yankees, but can't avoid that. So these next 6 games (DH against Philly tomorrow and then 4 in Hell) will be important. Just go 3-3 and it would be a positive outcome.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I mean, we know the Os are s***. The last wildcard is probably gonna be between Jays/Whitesox/Texas? The O's will sink fast. They got a few good bats but their Pitching is the absolute drizzling shits. They will not be in contention at the end of the year.
