Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 There hasn't even been more cases than anyone paying attention would have reasonably expected. If the season is shut down over what is actually a very small and very predictable number of cases, neither Manfred nor Clark should have jobs next week. I agree with this. Also, is Keith Oberman a reliable source these days? The guy is normally a sensationalist whack job with a def agenda..

Outside of Florida, seems pretty on par with what I'd expect
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Is Manfred bipolar or just an idiot? Jesus christ he should shut his mouth if he’s not sure about what he’s saying.
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Their health protocols are s***/not being followed. When one guy gets it, you know a bunch of others have it too. Just overall a huge fail by the mlb and the players.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Do the players not care, like I dont understand They only care if is doesn't stand in the way of the activities they're accustomed to.

Good point, he's constantly contradicting himself or outright putting his foot in his mouth, might be time for him to hire a spokesperson or take a public speaking training course.

The virus also does not appear to be spreading on the field. The Phillies played the Marlins and zero Philly players have contracted COVID, which seems to oppose the prevailing narrative. Oh well. I guess people are intent on overreacting, so the season will probably be cancelled.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 They only care if is doesn't stand in the way of the activities they're accustomed to. They're young and rich, so they're also invincible!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Other than the Marlins, this doesn't appear to be that big of an issue. A couple of positives here and there were inevitable. Hopefully they can continue the season somewhat peacefully from here on out.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 They're young and rich, so they're also invincible! Kind of a difference between thinking you're invincible vs. not being worried about a virus that won't kill you.

Oh right death is the only concern for coronavirus infections. Good thing this virus doesn't have the potential to cause life long cardiovascular symptoms in those who survive their infections. Or PTSD in those who end up on ventilators. Oh wait, it can cause those. Never mind.
