EastCoaster Verified Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 The Florida Marlins season has been suspended mid- covid 19 apparently 14 players and some coaches has test positive. One team down which one will be the next team it's going to happen guaranteed it's inevitable you can't have open travel within the epicenter of the pandemic without consequences. David Price criticized the MLB for not taking the players health seriously in consideration he said the MLB covid 19 protocol measures are inadequate as they allow open travel and no isolation. Now with this outbreak Price said we'll see how serious the MLB is about it's players health and that's why he chose to sit out the season.

One possibly more of their players broke the rules and went and out in Atlanta. I fail to see how this is the leagues fault.

They all go their separate ways the don't stick together in one place like they should.

You expect these issues to pop up when you're at home. When you're on the road, you're only allowed to be at the hotel or the stadium. There was blatant disregard for the rules. Each team should monitor and know if it's players are in the hotel or not. The guy or guys, should have have had to self isolate immediately for breaking protocol.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 I don't know why it is so hard to self isolate in your hotel room, or call " Room Service" I self isolated all through my teenage years, there wasn't even internet porn. I had to self isolate with a worn copy of Horny Cheerleaders Volume II...
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 How are the Marlins going to resume their schedule? They’ve got 19 positive tests that need to self isolate for two weeks minimum and test negative twice. Half the season will be over.

Im pretty sure the only hard rules that players have to follow are the general rules for whatever state they are currently in.

They are loading up on players as we speak from FAs and waiver wire etc, Logan Forsythe was just added. They can also dip into their 60 man. They will resume Monday, whether it will be a competitive MLB team, is another question.

So they don't have to follow the 114 page protocol book that the MLB came out with? They should face stiff fines and suspensions for not acting in accordance with the mlb saftey protocols.

There are 3 teams there.

Per capita they're significantly below average for the US. California is frickin' huge man, total number of cases doesn't really measure how well they're controlling it (and nowhere down south is controlling it WELL, but that's where baseball is being played...)

You can't control it. I thought this would be obvious by now.
