BlueBaller Verified Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 I can't believe it but I'm pulling for the Yankees. they show a bit of class on the field while the Astros players act like buffoons any time the have a big play.

They have always been like that. They were just as bad last few playoffs. It gets old fast. Correa is clown.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 The Yankees have so much class that they're booting the ball around like a bunch of little leaguers to pay respect to what is supposed to be a child's game.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Lol. Poor Chirinos. That was pretty much exactly where Edwin caught him.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Okay grandpa. Not in this case. The Astros are over the top, always at it.
BlueBaller Verified Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Okay grandpa.meh. poor sportsmanship is timeless.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Aw man, that's a brutal way for C.C. to go out for likely the final time

Nah, baseball needs more of that. The Brian McCann's of the world are boring as hell and are thankfully going to be phased out eventually. More Correa's, Tim Anderson's, Soto's, etc, is a good thing.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Yikes this is a real embarrassment from the Yankees' defense. The field might also be messed up from the rain but a lot of these are genuinely routine plays.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Houston/Washington isn’t the World Series baseball needed (Yankees/Dodgers would have been the best business series) but from a pure baseball standpoint it should be great. Cole, Verlander, Scherzer, Strasburg, Greinke, and Corbin in one series. Yanks are toast and are playing like it.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 lol Baseball’s popularity is declining and the fanbase is old. We need more excitement Spanks. Players need to show emotion and make it look exciting for younger viewers. The days of putting your head down and running is over.

I'm curious if you hate it when hockey players raise their sticks over their heads after a goal, or when a basketball player fist pumps after a big basket.

This is not due to other sport, but due to the simple fact that the younger generations prefer video games. In that sense all sports have a limited life that will eventually absolve. Thats why I find the franchise values so interesting.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Come on Yanks make it a series.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 No Edwin tonight against Verlander
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Lol Yankees. Pickup up where they left off last game.
HealthDream007 Verified Member Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 The Yankees seem determined to continue to play defense like a little league team.
