I'm so bitter and disillusioned with this team that somehow Mike Trout hitting monster bombs against us is a form of release. Hitting them against toilet Sanchez probably plays a large factor.

I think so. I've even gone as far as cheering for the Jays to break up Paxton's no hitter in the bottom of the 9th. Never wanted to see a team curb stomp the Jay's before in any sitch but here we are.

Sanchez now sitting with a ROBUST 5.65 ERA, 5.45 FIP, and 5.26 xFIP.

Give this guy 80 million ASAP

I think what makes the season so demoralizing is that we were all optimistic that this season would be the first step in the transformation into a perpetually competitive club. We knew we'd lose more than we'd win, but we thought we'd be respectable, watch the young guys develop into MLB players, and enter the offseason as a team on the rise with serious $$$ to spend for big-time additions. It's now late June, and we're on track to lose 100 game, and so little has gone right that we don't even know if Ross Atkins is competent at his job.

It's like going on a date with 10/10 you met online and realizing her pictures were taken 100 pounds ago.

Remember in spring training when this board was having "Let the kids play!" debates, and people were arguing they would rather watch young players struggle than average vets?

Turns out.........

Ohtani calls himself safe, and therefore should be called out 'cause that's such an insufferable f***ing thing that players do.

Is Law on crack? Easiest home to first double play ball. Why throw to second?

Yeah at worst you get the one out at home and keep the run from scoring. Pathetic

Lol this is like the beginning of Major League only theres no chance it turns around

I would almost say more like the Bad News Bears at this point.

Yup.. With a fast runner at the plate, going home to first was the only option on that comebacker.

3-1 to Gurriel the ball is low called a strike...we just dont get pitched to like other teams in base all

Alonso and Trout and any other good hitters get fastballs down the middle in all counts...our hitters do not

That's the thing, I think rebuilds are usually better when you try and supplement the roster with some great proven players and try and stay respectable. This is just speculation, but I think it can be demoralizing for young kids like Vladdy to come up on a team that just gets beat down the majority of the time.

I know San Diego has been crap for a lot of years, but I kinda like how they're going forward with their rebuild now, a mix of great talent via free agency mixed with the young kids rising up.
