He's averaged 1.9 fWAR in 126 games per season in the other three full-time seasons he's played, which equals an average of 2.5 fWAR/season over 162 games in those three seasons. His "big year four years ago" was 3 fWAR. Not a huge difference, so this is just what he does and there's still room for upside. He's still only 27.

 

I hope he works out, but i'm not optimistic.

FFS, if you like the high K low BB types, then go nuts.

 

He's certainly got his warts, but there seems to be a decent floor established. Obviously we'd like to see more, especially given that he's locked up and here long-term, but maybe there's even more production in the tank.

 

Anyway, that's all I'm going to say on this for the time being. Let's just hope for the best, I guess.

Look around the league, you forgot power, numbnuts!

 

Maybe it doesn't matter in fantasy leagues, but it does matter in reality. There's more to the game than just value numbers.

I'm just kind of getting sick of having to hope for the best so far under Atkins.

Fantasy Leagues? I'm talking MLB... Aaaaaahhhh... leave me out of your way of thinking. Baseball moves unilaterally through the years and others follow, it happens man. You're stuck somewhere and won't evolve, that's on you, no-one else, pay attention.
