Ex Player Verified Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Excellent swing on that curveball by Vladdie
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 If you are going to show crowd shots focus on the hotties.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I'm impressed that they've started discussing exit velocity fairly regularly, and for homers using statcast etc. I feel like they'll add that for more stuff going forward. They have exit velocity on every hit ball at the ballpark which I think is really neat.

They also need to leave the MPH longer because by the time you're done watching to see where the hit lands the MPH is gone already

Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Vlad 2 for 2. Its already been a good game.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Its already been a good game. Yep. Only watching to see the young guts.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I don't know what it is or how to describe it, but Drury looks exactly like what you'd expect a third baseman playing in the outfield to look like.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Noice! That was a nice play right there.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I don't know what it is or how to describe it, but Drury looks exactly like what you'd expect a third baseman playing in the outfield to look like. Lol yep.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Gurriel looking very comfortable in the outfield in this small sample.

I think that's probably the best way to describe it, actually. When I read that I was like "yeah, that's basically it".
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Gurriel's arm is amazing in the outfield...but he couldn't throw 15 feet to 1B lol
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Gurriel looking very comfortable in the outfield in this small sample. He does. Would be a good development for Jay's. Great play.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Gurriel's arm is amazing in the outfield...but he couldn't throw 15 feet to 1B lol Lol true hard to figure.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 How slow is Hos? 26th percentile for sprint speed.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Good defensive play, and due up in the bottom half of the inning. HR for Gurriel? I'll say double...but I'm a lot more confident that Buck will say "we see it so often after a good defensive play..."
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 26th percentile for sprint speed. He is just such an enigma.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Well he sure does hit them hard, when he is on.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Gurriel's arm is amazing in the outfield...but he couldn't throw 15 feet to 1B lol The yips are kind of unexplainable. Something about throwing from second with plenty of time might make him overthink whereas in the outfield he might just be able to go off instincts and training.
