New hitting coach is really putting these hitters in a position of success

Dwight Smith jr is our best hitting young player right now. Guerrero is below the level that got Delgado and Snider sent down.

Also, in the military, these time stamps are often written without the colon, so 07:52 would rather be written 0752. - Straight from your link.

Yes, but the 24-hour clock with the colon exists, as evidenced by the provided link. Also, it says 'often', meaning it's sometimes not. And that only applies to the military, which this board is not associated with.

Either way, you're wrong, and I don't understand why the formatting with the colon bothers you.

You know it’s a bad season when GDT’s devolve into pointless arguments!

Differences between military time and 24 hour time

Military time is very similar to 24 hour time, but there are 2 differences between military time setting and 24 hour time setting. Military time uses a leading zero and doesn't have a colon, while 24 hour time uses a colon but not a leading zero. ... 8 PM would be 2000 (military) and 20:00 (24 hour).

You can use “2400” to express midnight (12:00 AM in standard time), but it is more common around the globe to use “0000” as midnight is considered the hour at which the new day begins. You will not find any colons or commas in military time, nor will you see any AM or PM suffixes as neither are necessary.

I don't know how to explain to you that things change over the years, but they just do. The 24-hour clock is mostly used with a colon today. I'd believe you if you told me that it's still mostly written without the colon in the military today, but that's irrelevant.

I understand having a rebuilding season, but this is unwatchable.

2nd deck grand salami.

If we keep going like this we'll finish behind Baltimore

The Orioles don’t have anyone as good as Vlad, Stroman or Giles.

Nice of Edwin Jackson to throw a solid 4 rounds of batting practice to the Padres today
Posted

Edwin, take the $66 mill you made over your career, buy a nice house in the Bahamas, and sit by the beach drinking Piña Coladas for the rest of your life.

Cause thats what I'd be doing

Can someone please explain the reasoning behind the Grichuk extension?

Because they think he will provide more value than the contract is worth.

Lol at assuming these guys have anything left by the end of their career

He is a guy that just seems to love the game. I think he'll go straight into coaching

Wow, Carlos Danger take a seat bud. Absolutely destroyed in this thread.

Will he admit he was wrong? Probably not!

We have few outfield prospects, he is quite good and with a few adjustments could be good, and the contract was relatively cheap.

FWIW I disagreed with giving him an extension, but even if it turns out to be a mistake, it isn’t an unforgivable one.

I hope thats not as a pitching coach.

Actually I do hope its as a pitching coach, so long as its on an opposing team
