DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Beat Sale and the sox....baseball is a funny game sometimes. Never would have guessed.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Man a bet on the Jays today would have been a nice payout. I think we were +250 or something.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Giles saved his best slider to clinch the game
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Boston sucking this year would be a peasant surprise. One can hope.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 There's some good hittin' on that Boston pitching staff. It might be just what we needed to get out of our funk.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Boston sucking this year would be a peasant surprise. One can hope. They have a bad farm system too

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 You forgot an L but I guess Boston took it I don’t remember the last time we beat the Sox. Beating them at there home opener with sale on the mound might be the highlight of the year

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Giles has been enjoyable to watch. But will be best utilized as a trade asset later this season. Nice to see him get off to a strong start and ruin the Red Sox Home Opener.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Looks like I missed the best game of the year, oh well.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 finally got to see this one. very entertaining. Jays BABIP'd them to death. beating Boston is sweet, beating them at Fenway is better but beating them on their ring day is priceless.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Jays hit 3 balls well all game. Congrats on winning your WS. Congrats on landing Dave Dombrowski as your GM. They are going to be Detroit in no time.

Almost considered it because Sale has been so brutal, but I assumed the Jays would be just the medicine that he needs. Was kicking myself after. Nice win! Maybe there's life in these guys after all!

5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Congrats on landing Dave Dombrowski as your GM. They are going to be Detroit in no time. Nah, Boston is well positioned to be good for quite some time and aren't afraid to spend money when need be.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Nah, Boston is well positioned to be good for quite some time and aren't afraid to spend money when need be. They're going to need to spend it too, because they've already spent a lot while reaping the benefits of their farm system back when it was actually good. Betts, Benintendi, Boogers, Devers, etc are all gonna get really expensive really fast.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Jays hit 3 balls well all game. Congrats on winning your WS. Things must be pretty dire in Boston these days if you have to post over a meaningless game and post on the bluejays form. Congrats I guess on that.
