jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I suspect this will be the most liked GDT in BJMB history.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Lineups are out Bones, you started the GDT.. Giddy up!

Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Nice So Guirrel is the future 2B but he sits every other day. Must do a world of good for his confidence having to sit down for a minor league organizational player I am sure he will develop strides by not playing.
mtljaysfan Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I think we take this game, just because a 4 games series sweep is really rare in baseball.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Brito and his career obp of .219 leading off. Why can't we get some real media to ask why this is? I know we're talking about 183 plate appearances, but why put added pressure on a young player who's yet to any success at all. Brito should be batting 9th.

Oh and lmfao at Jansen batting begins Hanson and Urena (and Brito lol)
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Can't wait until the bottom half of our lineup is Vlad, Bo, and Biggio a year from now. Montoyo working the rookies in slowly.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 So far, I am thoroughly unimpressed with Charlie Montoyo. Managers don't matter much but seriously, that lineup construction.

bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Is there a reason Hanson is on the team, At least the Brito narrative is that he never really got a extended look in the majors and has some legit tools. Hanson is just an AAAA scrub though, 246 games -0.5 WAR and not even chipping in positively on defense. Not sure who I would replace him with (Alford?) but he shouldn't be here.

I’d rather have an 8th pen arm

Only other thing I can think of is that there is some sort of analytical intelligence being employed here that we dont understand Like the sole goal of the year is to have the best defensive lineup possible to help the pitchers succeed. And to that end who cares about the lineup
tbad Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Brito and Hanson in the same line-up and Brito is leading off... Jesus Christ
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Jesus that is a disgusting lineup. I guess Charlie learned nothing after batting Brito leadoff two days ago. Oh and lmfao at Jansen batting begins Hanson and Urena (and Brito lol) Winning games is not the most important thing right now. Montoyo said he wants Brito to get maximum at bats so that he can access if he has a future with the team. TBF I suspect the answer is no.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Buffalo with Buchholz on the bump might be a better game to watch today and that's without Vlad. If Vlad was there I don't think there would be any question...lol.

There's a reason he's a 26 y/o fringe scrub.

King Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Clevinger has got the good stuff today. I'm not expecting many hits
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Brito cannot hit Montoyo disagrees

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Clevinger has got the good stuff today. I'm not expecting many hits A guy with terrible stuff would still manage to have a good outing. Anyone with with elite stuff has a chance to pitch a perfect game against this lineup.
